Description
These grass-woven bowls have been handmade by a group of women in a rural community bordering Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwest Uganda.
Two different grasses are used, one to give structure and one for the detail.
The result are these amazing bowls that brighten up any table or wall!
All the colours are achieve by natural dyes using herbs, barks, roots and leaves, giving rich autumnal earthy colours.
Patterns vary slightly but all have a flower/petal motive.
They are approximately 30cm in diameter but as they are all unique and made by humans they can vary slightly.
