Description
Our colourful sari covered photo albums are the perfect place to keep your most treasured moments. Each one is filled with 30 pages of handmade khadda paper, acid-free and interleaved with tissue paper to protect and preserve your memories. The album can hold up to 120 6×4″ photos._x000D__x000D_Dimensions: 26 x 24 cm_x000D__x000D_Expertly crafted using both contemporary and traditional methods, each one is bound by hand and sturdy enough to keep all your most treasured memories safe. The sari material comes from Varanasi, one of the most religious cities in the world and a centre of excellence for sari making._x000D__x000D_The pages are created from khadda paper (also known as kaddi or khaddi). This sustainable material is crafted by hand from recycled cotton, salvaged from the huge waste of the Indian garment industry. Only unbleached cotton is used, ensuring the paper is acid-free. Lightly textured and luxuriously thick, it feels beautiful to write, draw, or paint on. While it’s perfect for ball-point pens, gel pens, or watercolours, we wouldn’t recommend it for use with fountain pens._x000D__x000D_Photos can be placed inside the photo album with glue, spray mount or clear, self-adhesive photo corners._x000D__x000D_Due to the handmade nature of our products each one is unique, but loveliness comes as standard._x000D__x000D_All the products in this range are handmade by a small family business in Rajasthan, India. We are fortunate enough to visit them every year, having worked with them for many years following Fair Trade guidelines. We are incredibly proud that together we are able to provide people in rural villages fairly paid work that may have otherwise been difficult to find, and consider the producers and their families true friends. The paper in all our journals and photo albums is made by a charity in rural Rajasthan that promotes women’s education and their social standing in the rural villages._x000D__x000D_By making a purchase, you are helping to continue the fantastic work of our producers._x000D_
