Description
This rectangular bamboo soap holder is the solution for a messy bathroom with soap bars lying around. It is a must for your plastic-free bathroom.
Why do I want a bamboo soap holder?
The rectangular soap holder is specially designed for our body and shaving bars. As these bars are solid, they don’t need any plastic packaging. A great advantage that makes them a very eco-friendly friendly alternative to regular body soap and shaving cream. Less practical, however, is to store the bars somewhere around the shower.
This rectangular bamboo soap holder solves this issue. On the bottom, there are anti-slip stickers that keep it in place. Moreover, the holder is provided with several narrow openings. These enable water to drain away easily and the bar to dry up quickly.
Sustainable and animal-friendly bamboo
Like many of our products, this soap holder mainly consists of bamboo. For various reasons, bamboo is a highly sustainable material. First of all, it is the fastest-growing plant in the world. The kind we use, moso bamboo, grows up to one meter per day under optimal conditions.
The origin and cycle of a bamboo plant are also very sustainable. Bamboo does not grow from seeds but one extensive root system. Using at least five-year-old bamboo keeps the root system healthy and intact, and new branches grow constantly.
Most importantly, however, we are not a threat to pandas. Their diet consists of more than 90% bamboo. Fortunately, they prefer to eat the leaves that grow close to the ground. Therefore, their choice does not fall on moso bamboo. The leaves of this kind grow too high.
Part of a greener world
Since our collaboration with the International Association of Human Values and Eden Reforestation Projects (ERP), we plant a tree for every purchase. We do this together with ERP, a world expert in tree planting. They operate in 8 countries on three different continents and already have nearly 500 million trees on the counter. Want to know more about this partnership? Read on here.
With this bamboo soap holder, you contribute directly to the restoration and preservation of forests. We are very grateful for that because together, we make a difference.
