We are based in Harrow in the UK and the majority of our goods are shipped to us by sea, not air, reducing our carbon footprint. This may mean you wait a little longer should something sell through, but good things are worth the wait. That said, we have regular shipments in from Indonesia, India and Thailand, and dispatch most orders within 2 working days. We are also very human. We employ human beings, not robots, and our goods are handpicked and packed. Ultimately, WE CARE.

Our green adventures started back in 2009 when we moved into a garden flat in East London. We renovated a Japanese and Italian water garden from it's overgrown past but with no prior garden experience we got stuck into the books and learned everything there was to know about pruning shrubs and planting. After the first year tidying the space up we were asked by a friend to join The National Garden Scheme. The scheme recognises gardens of quality and raises money for charity. It was a scary prospect of opening the garden to the scrutiny of the public. So we opened up for the first time and it was so exciting, we received some great positive feedback and some helpful tips from the seasoned gardeners! Subsequently, we opened our garden every year. We have since been featured on the BBC Great British Garden Revival, The Sunday Times, Abigal Will's The New London Garden book amongst other publications.

We are Volani – Lighting Designs, a team of professionals with a large experience on the lighting market. Our company designs and produces a large portfolio of decorative, architectural and technical lighting products. We also have the capability to produce products according to the customer or project needs, offering customization and personalized advice. We always seek to help our clients find the most suitable solution for their lighting project, from a large hotel or office building to a small residential project. Offering luminaires that thrill the imagination of architects and interior designers, our products have been used in the most exquisite projects in many cities of the world.

Our journey began in 2013 when I was studying fashion design in Italy. After moving to the UK and having my son Hugo in 2015, the impact air pollutants had on Hugo’s allergies became too unbearable to ignore. This inspired me to become part of the pollution solution. ​ I discovered that 22 million pieces of furniture are discarded each year in the UK alone. This fact coupled with my passion for interiors and design inspired me to create furniture for my home using sustainable materials. In 2019, Sustainable & Salvaged was born in an effort to design contemporary furniture for others while lowering waste and preserving raw materials. I then enlisted the help of my cousin Henry, an expert carpenter with a passion for making old things new. ​ Our growing team prides itself in bringing new life to each product with a complete process that is sustainable, recyclable, and environmentally friendly.

De Olde Kruyk (DOK) is a ceramics company that was founded in 1938 and has been housed in Utrecht since 2003. De Olde Kruyk is the studio of ceramist Alf Kurstjens. We design and make top quality ceramics. All our work is handmade and inspired by everyday shapes and objects. For example, we create lamps (in the shape of) ducks, vases made of rock shapes from Brittany and sake tableware made of drainpipes.
