Crystal Joys was originally founded in 1986 by Joy Renee as a traveling store that appeared at many metaphysical, renaissance and gemstone fairs throughout the Midwest for over a decade. Joy Renee was a Reiki Master and spiritual healer and used many of the stones in her work with others. The store developed into a jewelry and rock shop over time the owners became known for making jewelry and pendants as well as selling unique gemstones and minerals. The family would often go on "rock hunting" trips to dig for rocks and crystals in mines throughout the country. In 2014 Joy's daughter re-opened the stores in "brick and mortar" retail locations to continue the legacy of selling beautiful and rare semi-precious stones and minerals that bring "Joy" to people's lives and homes.
