UK company Block Design began in 2000, shortly after owner Tara Ashe graduated. Keen to combine a passion for design with her engineering background, Tara set out to create a range of functional, beautiful lifestyle products. The first Block product was a vase, since then they have added desk accessories, jewellery and more homeware to the collection. 20 years on Tara proudly leads a team of seven creatives, each integral to design and production. Each day the studio is a collaborative hub of creativity, colour and innovation. Every one of Block's products begins life in the studio, situated above their workshop in Cornwall, UK. They work hard to ensure they deliver the highest quality design and finish. Colour is integral to Block's collection. Palettes are carefully selected, considering current trends and also celebrating classic movements in design. Using no more than two components, each product offers a simple functional solution for desk and home.

JBK Pottery began in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in the early 1970's by Jim Kalbfleisch from his passion for making pottery. Many changes have occurred through the various decades in the employee / artisans and in the various products produced. Competition from imports have driven innovation and changes in product mix. Lisela Teichert now owns and runs the company with some of her family and a few select employees. Our JBK kitchen gadget items have proven to be very popular and are great sellers. D.R. Spetka first lived in Africa for a year before officially opening The Niger Bend in 1982.During the first 20 years of that time, D.R. Spetka traveled extensively in West Africa. However, since the early 2000’s, he decided to expand his traveling to East Africa and Southeast Asia. Almost everything we have ever bought to sell we have bought ourselves from producers and their representatives in Africa and Asia. We abide by Fair Trade principles and work closely with people in many countries to obtain the best products and crafts to promote the well-being of those people. DR. Spetka has devoted his life to this effort and has helped many individuals in these countries immigrate to the United States. “I love the people in Africa and Asia with whom I work; I love their art; I love all the places I go to find what I buy. Created around a kitchen table in London, by a mother and daughter who wanted to create something beautiful that would bring balance to their busy lives and the lives of others, Interlude has evolved into a lifestyle brand centred on candles and home fragrance. We believe that a candle is more than just a scent. It's a chance to take a deep breath, push pause and be transported elsewhere, reflect on a cherished memory or dream up an imagined future. Each of our fragrances is inspired by the relationship between scent and sentimentality, encapsulating a personal experience, from hazy childhood memories of fresh linen drying on the line in summer, to a woodland walk in the rain.

The ability to craft an object from the materials found beneath our feet is what drives my passion to create. Based just outside The Cotswolds; I explore the use of clay with throwing functional pieces, for everyday use and handbuilding organic sculptures. Hand thrown pieces includes; soap dishes, plates, bowls, mugs, and beakers etc. My pieces are colourful, with unique glazes that make them desirable to hold and use. Large scale organic sculptures are informed by objects collected from the shore; objects altered and changed through their journey across the sea. Through balance, texture and a blend of glazes, these sculptures encourage discussion and draw the viewer into an extra-terrestrial world. I graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan University with a first class degree in Ceramics in 2017. I was a Graduate Ceramic Intern for two years following my degree, where I taught ceramics at a school in Somerset. My business is in its third year now.

Cast Editions is a series of hand cast cement based sculptures and Bud Vases. The sculpture shapes interact and connect with each other making adaptable collections. All the pieces in the series can be displayed and stacked in a variety of different ways. Making it fun to find your own personalised sculptural display. Whilst the Bud Vases are designed to hold dried flowers, a welcome design accessory to any home.
