From broken hearts to grazed knees, we’re big believers that there’s no problem that can’t be solved with chocolate – our whole company is proof of that! We set up shop in 2005 to help put food on the family table; many years and a lot of hard work later, we’re Cornwall’s largest artisan chocolate maker, supplying to shops, tourist attractions and little hands everywhere. It all began in early 2004 when our Managing Director Alex, his wife Jayne, daughter Nicola and her husband-to-be Andy opened Kernow Harvest, a Cornish food and drink store in Wadebridge. It quickly became apparent that in order to survive in the world of retail we needed to sell something that we produced ourselves. After considering a few options, chocolate seemed to fit the bill perfectly. Kernow Chocolate was born in early 2005. Our small family business soon grew even further when Alex and Jayne’s son Philip and his partner Vicki returned from Australia to bolster the ranks. We began by selling our chocolate a
Challenging industry norms, we begin the making of our chocolate at origin before passionately transforming it in Edinburgh, Scotland. As a result, more wealth remains within developing economies. COCO is a canvas for artists and artisans alike: those who dare to innovate, inspire and challenge. This is where creativity and cocoa collide. There is no compromise on style or substance. Make sure to follow our store to stay updated with new products and news.

Before there was chocolate, there was cocoa. Dark Sugars is the story of one African woman’s journey to tell the story of cocoa - from tree to tummy. Nyanga began her quest in Spitalfields Market with just two truffles and a lot of chutzpah. Soon enough people fell in love with the authentic taste of the truffles and word got around about the woman who was bringing the sweet taste of Africa in the form of chocolates. In 2013, Nyanga began her next adventure of bringing her handcrafted chocolates to Brick Lane. Known for it’s famous curry houses, Nyanga revitalised Brick Lane by bringing the authentic taste of African cocoa. People came to the shop from all around the world just to get a little taste of Ghanaian cocoa beans. Today you can find Dark Sugars on Brick Lane, a Dark Sugars ice cream shop in Greenwich and a 4 storey flagship Cacao House in Greenwich that has recently opened at the end of 2021, with more sites on the horizon. Come on by and MAKE YOURSELF HAPPY
CEO, Chocolatier, business man and founder of Kakawa by day - socialist, nature lover and foodie by night. I’m passionate about creating something new, more than just ordinary - most of all, making it taste great and having fun with it! I feel a recipe is only a theme, a tune which anyone can play, but add some inspiration each time with a different variation! My weekends mainly consist of winding down the busy week with leisurely strolls through the countryside of Kent, culinary creations, and socialising with everyone whenever I get the chance! I pride myself on having accomplished, (and smashed!) many of the goals I have set myself, continuously setting the bar higher for myself, and always striving to achieve more! I leave no stone unturned and have worked (very!) hard to get where I am today - Rome wasn’t built in a day, but it’s still standing, loud and proud for everyone to see! Many people say dreams do not become your reality, but I say, you can sure as hell work your hardest

CHOC CHICK, the loveliest superfood on the planet! Ethically sourced, organic cacao and raw chocolates for serious chocolate heads. Vegan & Gluten Free, no palm oil, no soya lecithin and no additives. The perfect cacao for anyone that loves chocolate. People see chocolate and they see all the bad stuff. They see the increased waistline. They see sugar. They see gluttony. And ultimately, before they’ve even started, they feel guilty. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Raw cacao isn’t just delicious, it’s actively good for you. It’s a superfood in the realest sense. It can make you roar with goodness. That’s why we never say less. We say more. More energy. More positivity. More of what you love.
Birambi stands for everything that is white, minimalist and aesthetically pleasing. But the concept goes further than just minimalist products. In this digital age we mainly send messages via e-mail and chats, which makes gifts less and less personal. How often do you still get a real birthday card? Or a spontaneous surprise in your letterbox, other than the mail from the tax authorities? Exactly that. That is why we go back to the basics: a simple bottle mail .
