Every product purchased enables our team of artisans in Nepal to live an independent life with access to safe, secure employment at a fair rate of pay. Every product has been handcrafted using traditional needle felting techniques from natural, sustainable and biodegradable products - absolutely no plastic here! Our vast collections showcase fabulous characters and decorations for all seasons and occasions, and we work hard to bring out hundreds of new designs each year. Paper High is a Fair Trade company and sell handmade leather bags, stationery, and homeware products. Our mission is to design and source good quality ethical and sustainable fair trade products that also make a difference to peoples lives by providing them with continued work. We work exclusively with small producers in India, Nepal and Sri Lanka and visit once a year. We have a vast array of products with new products being added each season.

D.R. Spetka first lived in Africa for a year before officially opening The Niger Bend in 1982.During the first 20 years of that time, D.R. Spetka traveled extensively in West Africa. However, since the early 2000’s, he decided to expand his traveling to East Africa and Southeast Asia. Almost everything we have ever bought to sell we have bought ourselves from producers and their representatives in Africa and Asia. We abide by Fair Trade principles and work closely with people in many countries to obtain the best products and crafts to promote the well-being of those people. DR. Spetka has devoted his life to this effort and has helped many individuals in these countries immigrate to the United States. “I love the people in Africa and Asia with whom I work; I love their art; I love all the places I go to find what I buy. Our green adventures started back in 2009 when we moved into a garden flat in East London. We renovated a Japanese and Italian water garden from it's overgrown past but with no prior garden experience we got stuck into the books and learned everything there was to know about pruning shrubs and planting. After the first year tidying the space up we were asked by a friend to join The National Garden Scheme. The scheme recognises gardens of quality and raises money for charity. It was a scary prospect of opening the garden to the scrutiny of the public. So we opened up for the first time and it was so exciting, we received some great positive feedback and some helpful tips from the seasoned gardeners! Subsequently, we opened our garden every year. We have since been featured on the BBC Great British Garden Revival, The Sunday Times, Abigal Will's The New London Garden book amongst other publications.

We stand on the pillars of design, tradition, and inclusion. As a social enterprise, we work with communities in the Philippines to bring beautifully handcrafted pieces into the global market.
